How do I make a dress hire booking?

Bookings are currently accepted via our Rental Request Form

What day will my dress hire arrive?

Your dress will arrive the first day of the rental period you have selected. We always recommend selecting a day that is 1-2 days prior to the event you plan on wearing the item.

Can I try the dress on?

Of course! We have a home studio located in Windang, NSW where you can try on our full collection.

This is by appointment only, please send us a DM or fill out the contact form to book a try on appointment. As we can’t guarantee all dresses will be available to try on due to the previous weekend’s bookings, please enquire beforehand if there is a specific item you wish to try.

How will I know the item will fit me?

If you can book a try on appointment, this is always recommended. However, if you are unsure about sizing and a try on is not possible, please contact us via bespokeborrowed@gmail.com and we can provide the measurements for the dress.

What sizes do you stock?

Currently we stock sizes 6-12. Whilst we would love to stock each item in all size ranges, unfortunately as a new, small business this is not possible, just yet! With your support and as we continue to grow, we commit to expanding our size range, so we can style everybody.

If there is a style and size you would like to see added to our collection, we would love to hear from you! Please send us an email at bespokeborrowed@gmail.com with details such as the brand, style name and size and we can explore the possibilities together.

I have selected local pickup, when can I collect my dress?

You will be able to collect your booked item on the first day of your rental period.

How long is the rental period for?

All dress hires are for a 4-day period, starting from the first day you select for your booking. If you wish to hire a garment for an extended period, please get in touch.

Do you ship Australia wide?

Yes! We exclusively use Australia Post Express to all postage services Australia wide.

How long will my dress take to be delivered?

Depending on your location, this can take anywhere from 1-3 business days. We require a minimum of 3 business days’ notice to allow for express shipping time to avoid postage delays. Please contact us if you need something posted last minute to discuss the possibility of arrival.

How much does delivery cost? 

The shipping fee is $19.95, covering express postage for delivery and including a pre-paid return slip.

What if my dress arrives crinkled? 

We will steam each garment prior to your rental period, however if the dress arrives crinkled, please do not use an iron. Either steam the item with a garment steamer or hang the dress up in a steamy bathroom. Reach out if you have any concerns.

What if I need to change or cancel my order?

To cancel your booking from our website, please email us.

If you’re booking is through The Volte, send us a message directly through the platform.

What day do I need to return the dress?

All rental periods end on the final day of your rental period booking. For all postage hires, items must be posted back in the provided return slip by 12pm, and for local pick-up hires these must be returned by 7pm.

What happens if I return my order late?

If unforeseen circumstances prevent you from returning the item on the designated date, please contact us as soon as possible. Late fees of $30.00 per day will incur, up to 200% of the dress’s retail value.

What happens if my rental period ends on a Sunday or Public Holiday?

If your rental period ends on a weekend or public holiday, please return the item by 12pm the following business day.

Do I need to dry clean my dress before I return it?

No! All dry cleaning is taken care of by Bespoke Borrowed. Please do not attempt to clean our items in any circumstances. If you have accidentally spilt something on the dress, please let us know what you think it may be so we can advise the Dry Cleaners for the best chance of removing it.

What happens if I damage the item?

We understand accidents can happen. If any damage or staining occurs, please promptly contact us, as this may impact subsequent rentals. Do not attempt to clean or repair the item yourself. The cost for restoration or replacement will apply as necessary.
